Hey mom ! This week was pretty good out here in California ! It was a lot better than last week by far.
It was up in the 85's here and it was super hot ! It felt really nice and we got a ton of work done ! We
started out going to to Clear Creek for a meeting and then we went on exchanges and my zone leader is
actually from Tijuana so I asked Jake if he knew him or his dad and we had a lot of fun and then
we helped an older guy build a green house all day and he was funny and so were going to go
back and teach him and his family this next week. And then we received a call from our mission
president that one of our investigators can get baptized !!! She is on probation for some things
but the mission president sent a letter to the first presidency and when he called us he said
"Elders, I received a letter from Thomas S. Monson, and he said your investigator can get baptized!!"
that made me and Elder Steck super pumped and that'll be next Saturday when we will have her
baptism. Then we found a family of 4 to start teaching the Gospel and they are way prepared
for it ! They are Mexicans but speak really good English and we are praying that they will come into
this gospel because they are an amazing family and then if they do, a year from now I can go to
the temple with them! So please pray for the Cortez family ! This up coming week will be way busy
and we are going to the temple on Wednesday and then exchanges and a baptism so were going
to be busy ! I'm grateful to be part of this great work and I'm working really hard everyday to find
those people who have been prepared and I just have so much charity for the people here ! We
will be skyping from a member's home next Sunday about 1-2 if his Internet works because the Internet
in Quincy is terrible everywhere, so hopefully it works! Anyways have a great week and we will see
